SD-Jukebox (windows 7)

Hi there guys,
I got the panasoic card-reader, i got an ORIGINAL copy sd-jukebox v.4, i got (of course) 2 sl-dz1200...but I've installed Windows 7 on my pc.
Is someone able to explain my why in the 2010 I shoud not be able to play mp3 on an sd card?
It's absolutely out of any good reason.

Is there any solution? I'm looking for the version 6.9 of sd-jukeox the supports windows 7.
Any help?

Re: SD-Jukebox (windows 7)

Have you tried running it in compatibility mode for Windows XP?

Re: SD-Jukebox (windows 7)

I'm afraid you will need to dual boot XP in your computer.  Panasonic discontinued the SD-Jukebox so no future updates will be made.

Re: SD-Jukebox (windows 7)

I don't know if this is correct.
Viewing this link
http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/SD-Jukebox
it seems exists a newer version (6.95) that supports windows 7.

I think the best solution shoul be for technics to release a new firmware for setting all of us free to play all the mp3 that we want.
Mp3 is also a legal format. I think is not legally fair to limitate our cd player.

Re: SD-Jukebox (windows 7)

I agree but since the DZs are a thing of the past, I really doubt that they'll look into a new firmware.  This process takes money and time.

Re: SD-Jukebox (windows 7)

They could simply set the firmware code opensource or simething similar.
I think it's a question of respect for their customers.
But we can only use words i know Wink

Re: SD-Jukebox (windows 7)

I'm going to sound like a broken record here but....FORGET THE SD CARD! Seriously!

Use a DVS (serato, torq, traktor) - a DVS is the BEST way to get the most out of your DZs.

I personally use Torq & I play professionally 2-3 nights per week. It's fantastic...except lugging
my decks to the clubs every nite  Wink
