Hey I just recently got some technics sl-1200mk2 and I found they had a problem with the pitch control (they're used so I can't really return them). The problem basically is that when you move the pitch in the + it has absolutely no effect on the pitch. When it's at zero it seems to work, and when it's in the - region it seems to work too. But another weird thing I found was that if you move the control just off to either side of the Zero it screws up the turntable completely and it pretty much just stops. And glitches from side to side. Should I just replace the pitch control? Or do I need to get something more like this "
