Update firmware on 1GB SD card?

Hi there.  Just purchased a 2nd hand machine and 1st impressions are that it's great!  I want to upgrade the firmware as i'm on 1.9, but everything on here states you need 64mb or lower. Is this true? I'm about to but a 1GB card as i've heard that's the max they'll take for music, but hoping i can do the firmware with that too, rather than having to buy a 64MB too. Any advice is much appreciated.

Re: Update firmware on 1GB SD card?

Hello smookydj,
I made the upgrade using a Kingston 512MB SD Card, I cannot grant you that it will work with a 1GB but I can tell you that it works with a bigger size than the 64MB.

Just be sure to buy a compatible SD Card, some of them wont work like Sandisk, Emtec and so on. I suggest you to buy a Panasonic or a Kingston SD Card.

Hope this help.
Cheers.

You can always try the 1 gig card. According to the manual it gives the recommended use of a smaller sd card for firmware updates.
