Cleaning platter without opening deck.

***Thanks to HouseAddictd who originally posted this at our old site***

1. GET some ALCOHOOL used to clean your glasses! it's quite a common used type of alcohool and you get it for free  from an optician.

2. GET a long cotton stipe (your favourite t-shirt will be good and simply spray the alcohool in the three releasing holes of the platter that gets the platter solid buring the transport. (the three white jacks you removed first time you opened your brand new SL-DZ1200 and your heart was bumping like a good old HOUSE track)
turn the under platter and continue spraying (not so much)
when you finally have made a full 360 degrees of the under platter

3. get your flag of shirt, insert it in the hole and turn clockwise the under platter.
You will see how much dirt will the shirt capture.

repeat this procedure till you see how good your platter keeps turning.and how clean the under surface is.

If you want, you can also try to get al little stripe of cotton and insert it in an hole and push it under the platter till it comes out from the other hole.
That's a good way to clean also the upside part of the platter.

Remember.
Do not use  grease or other sprays like oil or other.
The surface was studied from the Technics engineers to rotate CLEAN!
